A second-generation entrepreneur, Jacques first learned how to fabricate while working in his father’s workshop in Namibia. After completing his studies in Stellenbosch, South Africa, Jacques returned to Namibia to help expand Rocher Construction, their commercial development company. Eight years later, Jacques found himself ready to take on his next challenge - Chicago.

Spending several years fabricating and leading Field Operations at Hammerwell Metal, learning the ins and outs of local construction, it was time to spin off on his own. With a passion for metalwork and a history of family-owned construction, Modern Metals was born.
